SUMMARY

The following error message is displayed when an illegal scan code is used in one of the TYPE statements of a mouse menu program:

Double-check the menu source file (.DEF file) to make sure all scan codes are valid scan codes. A list of valid scan codes can be found in Appendix G of the "Microsoft Mouse Programmer's Reference" published by Microsoft Press.

Another possible cause for the above message is if the number of characters for a name in the menus is too long (8 character max).
