Files You Are Allowed To Distribute
You can freely distribute any application that you create with Visual Basic. In addition to an executable (.EXE) file, your application might require other files such as DLLs , custom controls (.VBX), or bitmaps (.BMP).
Sample application files may be distributed. Microsoft makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the merchantability or fitness of these applications, nor does Microsoft assume any obligation or liability for their use.
You can legally distribute the following files with any Visual Basic application you create:
Any files located in the \ICONS subdirectory of the main Visual Basic directory.
SETUP.EXE (Setup Toolkit)
If you have purchased the Professional Edition of Visual Basic, you can also distribute these files with any Visual Basic application you create:
Any files located in the \BITMAPS subdirectory of the main Visual Basic directory.
Any files located in the \METAFILE subdirectory of the main Visual Basic directory.
Any files located in the \ODBC subdirectory of the main Visual Basic directory.
Note You may also be able to distribute other custom controls and DLLs that you have purchased. See the licensing agreement supplied by the individual software vendor for details.
